MUNRFE took part in the organization of International AIDS Candlelight Memorial in FEFU

On May 18, Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) organized a set of events devoted to International AIDS Candlelight Memorial that is celebrated annually from May 15 to May 21. The main idea of the memorial is to raise an awareness of people all over the world about the danger that Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Virus (AIDS) possess as well as to inform people about necessary prophylactic measures in order not to become infected.

MUNRFE was in charge of realization of this event in FEFU. Members of Vladivostok MUNRFE Club namely Ms. Ekaterina Zamulina, Ms. Christina Tolmacheva, Mr. Andrew Moon and Ms. Veronika Tkachenko were representing the Organization on information desks spread through the university where they had also promoted Sustainable Development Goal 3 «Global health and wellbeing». Furthermore, Vice-President of Vladivostok Club – Ms. Anna Timokhina and Vladivostok Club member Ms. Oksana Bozhenova were lecturers at the seminar for international students where ladies clarified all basic information about HIV and AIDS and stressed the attention of listeners on the scope of this problem by conducting a training game which showed how quickly HIV can be proliferated.

MUNRFE wishes that such activities alert global community to undertake urgent actions to stop these pandemics and that it will lead people to pay more attention to their health.
