The Summer School “APEC Youth Summit: goals, priorities and perspectives”
Model United Nations of the Russian Far East took part in the Summer School “APEC Youth Summit: goals, priorities and perspectives” organized by the Russian Council on Foreign Relations and Russian Center of APEC Studies in Povarovo, Moscow region. The School took place on the territory of a beautiful summer camp from 2nd to 7th of July.
The project gathered 20 graduate and postgraduate students who successfully passed the first round of the national selection to the APEC Youth Summit 2012. Young individuals from universities of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok, as well as France and United Kingdom were plunged into the atmosphere of interesting lectures, questions & answers sessions with experts and trainings conducted by professional business coaches.
Members of MUNRFE participated in this school in 2 categories. Alexey Sidorenko, Oksana Lipchenko, Kseniya Severinova and Victoria Vinoselova took part in the project as delegates, while Andrey Kozinets, Igor Novikov, Semeyon Korotich and Olesya Ershova were invited to serve as Secretariat members of the APEC Youth Summit 2012.
The school was full of meetings with famous scientists from Russian Academy of Sciences and ex-diplomats with great practical experience. Such topics as food security, cooperation in the energetic sphere, economic development of the Asia-Pacific Region, public speaking and consensus building were covered.
