MUNRFE members at the 4th ASEAN – Russia Youth Summit
MUNRFE representatives have successfully participated in the Fourth ASEAN – Russia Youth Summit in Cambodia. MUNRFE Counselor for External Affairs Ms. Ksenia Shevtsova, Deputy Executive Director Ms. Victoria Yavorskaya and Vladivostok Club President Ms. Ekaterina Tretiakova were invited to participate in Summit as the organizers of the previous Third Summit, which was implemented in Vladivostok in 2015.
The Fourth Summit was held on October 24-27, 2016 in Siem Reap, Cambodia and organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia and ASEAN Centre in MGIMO-University. The summit was aimed at strengthening youth cooperation in the spheres of education and culture. Representing the Far Eastern Federal University, Ms. Shevtsova made a presentation on this agenda and shared her proposals on enhancing educational cooperation.
Besides active involvement into deliberations with participants and experts, MUNRFE members had a chance to discuss the future relations of ASEAN and Russian Far East with the Deputy Director-General of the General department of ASEAN - Mr. KE Sovann, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Cambodia - Mr. Dmitry Y. Tsvetkov and Ambassador at Large, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation - Mr. Alexander A. Ivanov.
MUNRFE was delighted to be a part of the Fourth ASEAN – Russia Youth Summit and hopes that our cooperation with the ASEAN Center in MGIMO University will continue and enhance in the future.
