MUNRFE expresses its condolences to the victims of terrorist act in St. Petersburg
On April 3, 2017 a devastating tragedy happened in St. Petersburg. The terroristic act took place in the city subway. The explosion occurred at around 2.30 pm local time, after the train had left Sennaya Ploshchad station in the center of St Petersburg. As a result of the terrorist attack, 14 people died and more than 20 were seriously injured. All stations of the St. Petersburg subway were completely closed. The governor of the city announced an emergency and a three-day mourning was declared in St. Petersburg.
The President of Russia, Mr. Vladimir V. Putin has already expressed his condolences to the families of victims and promised assistance from the state.
MUNRFE expresses its deepest regret and condolences to all victims and their families. This devastating event once again reminds us that we live in a very fragile world, where people should stay united against terrorism. We hope that one day this terrorism will be eradicated once and forever.
