MUNRFE Vladivostok Club organized an event devoted to the celebration of the 72nd United Nations day
On October 26 MUNRFE Vladivostok Club organized a celebration of the most significant event in frames of history of International relations – the United Nations Day. This year marked 72 years of existence of the world’s largest inter-governmental organization, thus on this meaningful day MUNRFE Vladivostok Club conducted an event for the students of the Far Eastern Federal University. The celebration began with an informative lecture about the UN structure and activities, delivered by the MUNRFE Executive Director Elena A. Kiseleva, followed by the discussion of the role of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After the introduction of the UN system, the participants had an opportunity to broaden their knowledge about the Organization through taking part in the various activities. All guests were also able to learn more about the UN Envoys who put enormous efforts to achieving SDGs around the globe.
Moreover, each participant had an incredible opportunity to perform as a real diplomat and express his/her opinion on the on global issues by delivering the official address on the proposed topic. In the end of the contests, the participants who were able to answer the questions correctly were awarded with the sweet present – UN designed cupcakes and SDGs flags.
MUNRFE is extremely delighted to be a part of the global celebration and to make its own impact towards increasing the awareness about SDGs on the Russian Far East.
