MUNRFE recognized at the Essay Competition: “ASEAN at 50: Achievements, Challenges and New Opportunities for Cooperation with Russia”
In autumn 2017 the ASEAN Centre in MGIMO University and the ASEAN Moscow Committee conducted the Essay Writing Competition dedicated to the theme “ASEAN at 50: Achievements, Challenges and New Opportunities for Cooperation with Russia”. According to the results of the contest, MUNRFE Executive Director Ms. Elena Kiseleva was recognized as one of the best essay authors and will be awarded with special gifts from the Embassies of ASEAN member states.
The competition was organized for students and young professionals from Russia and ASEAN member states who are interested in the history and contemporary developments of ASEAN-Russia relations. MUNRFE has always expressed its interest in ASEAN-related events, thus, the contest became a great opportunity for MUNRFE members to deepen and enhance their knowledge in the sphere of Russia-ASEAN cooperation and to explore the prospects for its development.
Continuing to expand its involvement in ASEAN-related activities, MUNRFE has a rich and diverse background in this realm, which includes organization of the Third Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit (Vladivostok, 2015), as well as participation in the 2nd Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit “Young Russia - Young ASEAN: Contributors to Greater Connectivity” (Kuala Lumpur, 2014) and the 4th ASEAN-Russia Youth Summit (Siem Reap, 2016). Furthermore, in 2017 MUNRFE representatives were honored to attend a briefing at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, which represents significant importance for the Organization.
MUNRFE is looking forward to develop its strategic cooperation with ASEAN Centre in MGIMO University and to continue implementation of activities aimed at promotion of ASEAN direction through youth initiatives in Vladivostok and the Russian Far East.
