MUNRFE became a co-organizer of the “Young Diplomat” program at the All-Russia Children Center “Okean”
On March, 10-24 the All-Russia Children Center “Okean” conducted the “Young Diplomat” program for high-school students of 8-11 grades aimed at providing the youth with necessary competencies for their future career and social involvement. This time, MUNRFE was privileged to become the co-organizer of this event and incorporate Model UN segment that included a set of lectures and trainings as well as final debates that applied the procedure of Model UN.
MUNRFE members delivered lectures on public speaking, project management, leadership, time-management, goal-setting, international organizations, the UN system and Sustainable Development Goals, as well as conducted entertaining trainings.
Furthermore, MUNRFE representatives served as judges of project applications contest WorldExpo and exhibition prepared by the participants of the program. Moreover, it is important to mention that in frames of the program several MUNRFE members were privileged to attend a meeting with Consul General and Vice Consul of the Republic of India in Vladivostok - Mr. Subham Kumar and Mr. Rame Chand respectively.
The course of lectures ended by the final conference conducted in the form of MUN debates. In frames of the event participants had an opportunity to practice gained skills and knowledge by performing the roles of diplomats and representing a particular countrys policy. Students were also able to express their points of view and debate with their opponents on the agenda item and, as a result, adopt the final document. At the end of the final conference Ms. Sophia Greisler, Mr. Egor Kravets, Ms. Polina Babenko, Ms. Ekaterina Naletova, and Ms. Stepan Solovyov were elected by the participants as the best delegates who were granted with participation in Far Eastern Model UN 2018 on a free basis.
The program involved a large number of representatives of the Organization including members of MUNRFE delegation to National MUN 2018 in New York, USA, namely MUNRFE Acting Executive Director Ms. Ekaterina Tretiakova, Blagoveshchensk Club President Mr. Ilya Kopot', Vladivostok Club Vice-President Mr. Aleksei Stanonis, Ms. Diana Tereshchenko and Ms. Veronika Tkachenko. Besides aforementioned personalities, MUNRFE Councilor Ms. Elena Kiseleva, Vladivostok Club President Ms. Anna Timokhina, Vice-President Ms. Alexandra Kosyreva and as well as Club members namely Ms. Galina Salnikova, Mr. Vsevolod Cheresov, Ms. Camilla Dogui-ool, Ms. Alyona Plekhanova, Ms. Anastasia Kuklina, Ms. Yana Linkevich, Ms. Polina Varfolomeeva, Ms. Alexandra Chernysheva, Mr. Mikhail Boyko, Ms. Daria Zlydar, Mr. Egor Klimovich and Mr. Andrew Moon were involved in implemenation of the program.
MUNRFE warmly congratulates the winners of the final conference and wishes them all the success in preparation for FEMUN 2018. The Organization is paying tribute to All-Russia Children Center “Okean” for this fruitful collaboration in terms of implementation of the program. MUNRFE also expresses its aspiration for further joint activities upon projects aimed at enhancing the leadership potential of the youth of the Russian Far East.
