"Russia-ASEAN Project 2018: Prospects for Successful Cooperation" Report
On April 9-11, the MUNRFE Vladivostok Club organized the Russia-ASEAN Project 2018 under the leadership of Mr. Vsevolod Cheresov and Ms. Galina Salnikova. During the event students enlarged their knowledge in the sphere of Russia-ASEAN relations at an international level and developed their leadership, public speaking and teamwork skills. The first day of the project included an opening ceremony hosted by Coordinator of the project, Mr. Vsevolod Cheresov. In frames of the event MUNRFE Acting Executive Director Ms. Ekaterina Tretiakova, MUNRFE Advisor Ms. Elena Kiseleva and MUNRFE Vladivostok Club President Ms. Anna Timokhina addressed their welcoming words to the participants.
Thereafter, a lecture on the topic of Security Institutions in the Asia-Pacific was delivered by Dr. Semyon Korotich, PhD in Political Science and senior lecturer of the Department of International Relations at FEFU. The second day was marked with a seminar delivered by an assistant lecturer of the Department of International Relations at FEFU Mr. Andrei Kozinets who introduced the topic of the Threat of Terrorism in Southeast Asia. On the final day, after briefing held by MUNRFE Councilor Ms. Ksenia Shevtsova participants put their best efforts on elaborating projects of strengthening Russia-ASEAN partnership which were presented to a jury consisted of FEFU Deputy Vice President for International Relations Mr. Evgeny E. Vlasov, MUNRFE Governing Council Chairman Mr. Vitaly E. Savenkov and the Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Vladivostok Mr. Huynh Minh Tinh. As a result of the comprehensive analysis, the team named “The Big ASEAN Theory” was recognized as the Best Team, while Ms. Daria Zlydar and Ms. Anastasia Kuklina received the awards of Best Participants.
MUNRFE expresses its deepest gratitude to all parties related to the project implementation as well as underlines its aspiration towards organizing new initiatives connected with Russia-ASEAN dialogue.
