MUNRFE Vladivostok Club raised awareness on Climate Change at the “Climate Project 2019”
From 6-7 June 2019, «Climate Project 2019» was successfully conducted in Far Eastern Federal University. The main aim of the event was to draw attention of the Club members on negative implications of anthropogenic influence on the Earth and the ways to lighten them.
The participants found out the key points of human impact on the environment from the lecture delivered by Far Eastern Climate Smart Lab associate and the lecturer at the FEFU Department of Soil Studies Assoc. Prof. Victoria Semal’ upon the issue of Global Warming. Moreover, Coordinators of the project Daria Kurushina and Christina Tolmacheva introduced the attendees to eco-lifestyle and zero-waste.
Besides the lectures, the project was marked with the game pertaining to the current urgent environmental problems. The participants had to find out the most appropriate solutions in order to save the planet. The winner of the game Konstantin Golnev along with the winner of the lottery Elizaveta Kalinina received the presents from the sponsors. Furthermore, the attendees watched the movie «Tomorrow» addressing the issue of Climate Change.
Upon the «Climate Project 2019» completion, MUNRFE expresses its gratitude to the lecturers and sponsors of the event: Far Eastern Climate Smart Lab, Eco Cup, Horoshee Mesto, and Green Mosaic for their commitment in the preparation and implementation of the project and overall promotion of «eco life-style». Furthermore, MUNRFE reiterates its appreciation to the working group members: Ekaterina Eryomina, Maksim Sorokin, Vladislav Zaytsev, Mikhail Milko, and Gelena Stepanova.
MUNRFE acknowledges the significance of any actions mitigating climate change. As a social-oriented Organization, it considers the increase of awareness about humankind damaging ecosystems and the ways to preserve our planet for future generations.
