MUNRFE shared experience at FEFU-HIT Summer School
From 22 July to 2 August 2019, Far Eastern Federal University and Harbin Institute of Technology held the Summer School on the premises of FEFU. The participants of the Program had a chance to explore one of the best Russian campuses, learn a bit of the Russian language and immerse into the Russian culture. Besides, the school aimed to generally foster the self-development of the HIT students. That is why MUNRFE members took part in the program as well by delivering lectures on soft skills, studying in FEFU, and the United Nations affairs.
On June 27, MUNRFE Senior Associate for Public Information Galina Salnikova and the adviser of MUNRFE delegation to NMUN-New York 2019 Anna Timokhina conducted a training on Parliamentary Debates. June 28 was marked with a lecture about time-management by MUNRFE Vladivostok Club President Daria Zlydar and MUNRFE Vladivostok Club member Polina Varfolomeeva.
June 30 was more related to gaining knowledge. MUNRFE Board represented by Executive Director Alexandra Kosyreva and Executive Director Assistant Aleksey Stanonis introduced the HIT students to the FEFU academic and students’ life. They also made Chinese students aware of the Sustainable Development Goals and the ways they can be applied to daily life.
Galina Salnikova shared her expressions: “The students from Harbin were extremely active. I was pleased to see that some of them had heard about the Parliamentary debates, so they willingly took part in the discussions. They showed a good level of argumentation, and the debates continued even after the sessions. All in all, I had a lot of fun. I hope that the HIT students feel the same”.
MUNRFE thanks Far Eastern Federal University for continuous cooperation and opportunities it gives the Organization to share its knowledge and promote international agenda on various levels.
