BRICS Educational Internship Grand Opening took place in FEFU
On March 3, Model United Nations of the Russian Far East took part in the Grand Opening Ceremony of the first BRICS Educational Internship Program, welcoming 70 international students willing to study the undergraduate and graduate programs on the majors of high priority for BRICS countries in the Russian city of Vladivostok.
During the opening ceremony, MUNRFE Executive Director Alexandra Kosyreva welcomed the BRICS participants on behalf of the Organization and wished the participants a great time in Russia. “It is fascinating to see so many bright students from different parts of the world gathered to study together and get acquainted to Russia specifically! Here you can witness the essence of international relations and public diplomacy!” - Alexandra said.
Moreover, there was an adaptation week conducted for the BRICS participants before the actual start of the educational block, including the visits to several excursions, getting acquainted with Far Eastern Federal University, Vladivostok, as well as with teachers and tutors, and choosing the disciplines students were going to study. MUNRFE is actively involved in assisting the students and preparing a cultural program for them. Thus, the participants will have an opportunity to join MUNRFE-organized projects, such as the Earth Hour, Round Table making a significant contribution to the development of intercultural dialog and self-development.
Noteworthy, all BRICS students are going to take part in the Far Eastern Model UN 2020 that is going to take place on 15-18 May 2020. The FEMUN 2020 is the 5th edition of the only MUN in Russia applying UN4MUN format – the most realistic simulation of the work of the UN.
