MUNRFE team to NMUN-NY 2021 visits the UN Headquarters virtually
On February 24, the representatives of the MUNRFE delegation to the National Model UN - New York 2021 took part in a virtual tour organized by the United Nations Secretariat. The delegation was invited to a one-hour virtual tour by the NMUN-NY Organizing Committee.
As far as the NMUN is going to be conducted online this year, the delegates have an opportunity to visit the UN Headquarters without going abroad. The event is designed to let participants gain a better understanding of the UN work, its history, and values reflected in the interior design. The guides, Ms. Nodira Akhmedova and Ms. Yuchen Li, paid special attention to the main pillars of the organization: human rights, peace, and development. The interactive presentation finished with a Q&A session.
The National Model United Nations – New York is the world’s largest Model UN Conference that annually hosts around 6000 delegates from 130 countries. NMUN has been a recognized Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) formally associated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications since 1982 and a UN Academic Impact member since 2013.
MUNRFE delegations attend the NMUN-NY since 2011 and currently holds 6 collective awards in a row.
