MUNRFE VLADIVOSTOK CLUB JOINED THE WORLD REFUGEE DAY
On June 20, MUNRFE Vladivostok Club joined the World Refugee Day, with the project “No Boundaries” conducted at the Far Eastern Federal University.
The event was aimed at honoring refugees and raising awareness among students on the refugee agenda. The annual celebration was supported by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Representation in the Russian Federation.
45 participants had a chance to take part in a range of thematic events. They included a collaging master class dedicated to the theme “Home”, a concert with invited artists from FEFU and Vladivostok, a quiz on the refugee agenda, a chance to write a letter of love and donate clothes. The Club also conducted a photo-contest, where the participants shared their thoughts and ideas about the necessary things if they were forced to flee their motherland. The winners were announced after the end of the concert and received the prizes from the UNHCR. The project was implemented under the guidance of the Coordinators’ team – Ms. Kseniya Zaytceva and Ms. Aina Koriakina.
MUNRFE expresses its gratitude to the UNHCR Representation in Russia for supporting the project. We highly appreciate the contribution made by FEFU ECO TEAM for the assistance in organizing the master class, and the performers from FEFU Academic Choir, duet Illinois, cover-dance groups Bomway and Bluemoon, Ms. Polina Zalizskaya and Ms. Maria Chizhova.
