MUNRFE AT THE VIII EASTERN ECONOMIC FORUM
On 10-13 September, the 8th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) took place in Vladivostok at the Far Eastern Federal University. MUNRFE members actively participated as foreign delegations attachees, participants of Yoth EEF, and volunteers.
On September 13, MUNRFE Vladivostok Club President Ms. Arina Bukreeva took the floor as a speaker at the Russian Federation Ministry of Science and Higher Education display. At the session, dedicated to finding novel ways to lead the youth policy in the Asia Pacific region, Ms. Arina Bukreeva, joined by the representatives from FEFU and the Ministry, presented insights from the experience of MUNRFE and its means to promote youth diplomacy internationally. She shared the vision MUNRFE follows in all of its endeavors – it lies in building institutions which equip students to discuss societal problems through open forum debates, launch initiatives, which benefit broader community, share knowledge, skills and best practices. Other points the discussion explored touched on the youth-led scientific research and the trajectory of modern generation scientists who are open for collaboration with experts and partners from abroad.
EEF is a key platform for establishing economic and international collaboration, annually hosting investment communities from the Asia Pacific region. The Forum’s spectrum of activities corresponds with the one MUNRFE endorses. Naturally, its members actively engage in the Forum’s work from every perspective available: our members guided and accompanied international delegations from China, Myanmar, and Philippines in frames of the APEC Conference on Cooperation in Higher Education in Asia-Pacific Region, enforcing the intercultural dialogue between Russia and guest countries; participated in scientific lectures, and managed the operating process of events, integral to the Forum. We are convinced that the EEF may be rightfully perceived as a brilliant opportunity for young people, university students, and tomorrow’s leaders to gain invaluable experience through contributing to high-level events.
MUNRFE expresses its sincere gratitude to the Far Eastern Federal University and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
