All this is about the organization of the VIII MUNRFE International Conference, which was implemented by the Khabarovsk MUNRFE Club. For the Khabarovsk Club it has been a great honor to be the hosting club for the VIII IC this year and it has tried to do its best to make it real.

Of course not everything, that had been planned, was implemented due to various obstacles. But in spite of all the difficulties the Club managed with all the challenges and finally organized the Conference.

The position of the Coordinator of one of the most important and hugest events in MUNRFE was occupied by Olga Kostina. She is a very experienced member of MUNRFE: she was the best delegate of the VI IC and represented Russian Federation in 58th MUNFW session, currently she is the advisor of the Club, being a very important person for all its members. Her Vice-Coordinator was Ulyana Kan, the President of Khabarovsk MUNRFE Club. The main working group consisted of very committed people, desirable to work and contribute a lot. These are Kseniya Sukhotina, Anastasia Naiden, Nadezhda Ivanova, Malika Dosamanova, Darya Smirnova, Sergey Lebedev, Sofia Vidasheva and Anastasiya Burmistrova.

The Conference itself was conducted in Far Eastern State University of Humanities (FESUH), where delegates spent all 4 days of debates, including the opening and closing ceremonies. As for accommodation, delegates lived in a very comfortable Hotel “Artel Staratelei Amour” with a lot of conveniences and facilities. Every day delegates were driven to the FESUH and back to the hotel by bus. The Conference gathered 60 delegates and 10 members of the Secretariat from different cities of the Russian Far East and Siberia, namely Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Blagoveshchensk and Chita.

The Khabarovsk Club represented the teams of El Salvador, Georgia, Mexico, SAR, Turkey, China, Ecuador, Burkina Faso and Morocco.

25 Club members took part in the Conference, 6 of whom were newcomers and 6 – FireStarters 2010. The team of Mexico took the 2nd place in teams’ competition which was a very good achievement. Moreover, 3 members of Mexico team were given an opportunity to participate in 60th MUNFW Session in San-Francisco. These are Ulyana Kan, Malika Dosamanova and Sergey Gubchenko.

As it’s already known, for the 1st time the International Court of Justice will be conducted in MUNFW session. And Olga Kostina was selected to be the Chairperson of the respective committee. It was a new page in the history of MUNRFE, the VIII International Conference ended but the next is coming. The Khabarovsk Club would like to wish good luck to its organizators in this uneasy but very interesting work.
