This year the Olympiad was conducted for the 24th time and gathered about 500 participants from all parts of Russia and lots of different European states, such as Germany, Belgium, France, Greece, Belorussia and others. It consisted of 17 sections, some of which were conducted in English due to the participation of many foreigners. During the Olympiad together with 5 other students of Far Eastern Federal University Denis and Daria represented a team of FEFU in 3 different sections – world economy, accounting and finance. Throughout those 3 days participants had numerous competitions according to the programs of their sections, including tests, business games, round tables, research tasks and etc. Winners of the sections met in the final round where they had to write a small research on the certain management issue.

As a result of the competition, both of our members got recognition: “winner of the section” for Denis and “the most creative team” – for Daria. The event turned out to be a very interesting and useful experience both from the professional, scientific side and for the development of teamwork and leadership skills during the group tasks, as well as a good opportunity for the establishments of new relations in the Western part of our huge country and some European neighbors.
