BlagoMUN today
A new academic year has begun, and a new historical chapter of development of Blagoveshchensk MUNRFE club has begun, too. During past two months we had changes in the leadership of the club, our great cabinet showed boost of its work, and our members participated in the non-MUNRFE conference and gained a victory there. The Autumn Master-Classes were successfully held, and participants of the XI International Conference made great preparation to work.
The first and one of the most important news is elections of the Presidential Team and Cabinet members. In the beginning of September Alexander Druzhinin was elected to the position of the President. He ran for the post together with Alexandra Gritsenko, so she became Alexander’s Vice-President. Despite the fact that they are only two months in office, both Sashas demonstrated outstanding managing skills creating remarkable and productive work of our club and consolidating Club’s forces for the good. We established Development Roadmap and the Declaration of Blagoveshchensk MUNRFE Club development. All work in the club is supervised by presidential team, and each Cabinet member fulfills their duties completely.
In terms of outer ties, BlagoMUN did a unique breakthrough while establishing official and friendly relations with AmSU (through Faculty of International Relations) and BSPU (Faculty of Foreign Languages). But it is never enough. Currently, we are working on creating affairs with Faculty of History and Philology of BSPU, Amur State Medical Academy (yes, we do already have doctors in our Club) and Rotary International Club.
It is very important to mention that two brave young ladies - Liliya Yakubova and Linda Kvitkina - have successfully participated in Zabaikal International MUN Session in Chita on 22-26 of October, 2012. And we are very proud to announce that Ms. Yakubova and Ms. Kvitkina have not only participated at ZIMUN but have been recognized as Best Delegates in their respected committees - Commission on Population and Development and Security Council. Plus, we found understanding with Chita colleagues on re-creating MUN Club.
Today Club’s work is not limited only by preparation to the upcoming conference. We are also preparing to the outstanding external project – Workshop on Leadership for BSPU and AmSU students and Olga Skudarnova is the elected Coordinator of this project. Summing up, we would like to say that Blagoveshchensk MUNRFE Club strives not just only to be the pioneers and locomotives of development, but to set higher standards and values of working for others.
