The presentation of FEMUN 2017 has been successfully conducted
On Monday, March 6, the students of the Far Eastern Federal University have had a chance to visit the presentation of the upcoming Far Eastern Model UN 2017. The Conference, which will take place on May 3-6, will become the second one conducted under the UN4MUN concept developed by the United Nations Department of Public Information.
At the presentation the Secretary-General of the Conference, Ms. Ekaterina Tretiakova, and Under-Secretary-General for General Assembly Affairs and Conference Management, Ms. Alexandra Kosyreva, guided participants to the world of Model UN, showing advantages of participation in active students’ life in FEFU. Moreover, the organizers presented the peculiarities of UN4MUN concept to participants, as well as discussed some infrastructural issues of the upcoming Conference.
The Secretaries of the General Assembly Committees and the Director of the Security Council were also happy to introduce the bodies to be simulated during FEMUN 2017, as well as to share the general information about agenda items of these committees. By the end of the presentation the students who were interested in participation in FEMUN 2017 successfully contacted organizers with numerous questions regarding the Conference.
As far as the Far Eastern Model UN 2017 starts in 8 weeks, the registration process is already launched and will continue till April 15, allowing anyone from any part of the globe to apply for participation in the unique event in Russia.
