Vladivostok MUNRFE Club has successfully conducted a Climate Education Project.
On May 22-27 members of Vladivostok MUNRFE Club had a unique opportunity to listen to the lectures of the top lecturers from the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU).
Dr. Alexey Kokorin presented the lecture about the affection of natural and anthropogenic factors on climate change. Being granted with such honor to fully immerge into a flood of new exclusive information for 2 hours, members of the Club were able to understand more peculiarities of this comprehensive topic and ask questions to the leading expert in the field of environment-related research. Dr. Kokorin has been a project leader and key expert of more than 20 projects on climate change problems, mainly relating to the UNFCCC negotiation process and climate policy in Russia along with Central Asia countries, and he shared his experience with future generation of young leaders of the Organization.
Besides professors of the governmental level, participants of the project had a chance to be provided by profound knowledge of the Dr. Luca Belelli Marchesini, PhD in Forest Ecology and Researcher at the School of Natural Sciences at FEFU. Dr. Luca Belelli was explaining the influence of the greenhouse gases on the environment. This topic plays a significant role at the United Nations nowadays, that is why participants were fascinated by the lecture.
This project was aimed at raising the awareness of members of the Club about the world around us, as sometimes we may forget about our personal negative contribution to the deteriorating situation on the Earth. The more we understand the affection, the more we are trying to diminish it.
