MUNRFE at JOINMUN 2017 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia
On October 26-29 MUNRFE delegation represented our Organization at Jogja International Model UN 2017 (JOINMUN 2017) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The delegation composed of the winners of Far Eastern Model UN 2017, namely Mr. Markus Schwaiger, Ms. Ekaterina Sadovskaia, Mr. Andrew Moon, Ms. Veronika Tkachenko, Mr. Egor Klimovich, and Mr. Andre Pawira under the leadership of the team’s adviser MUNRFE Financial Director Ms. Ekaterina Tretiakova demonstrated best MUNRFE practices and leadership capacities and successfully performed at the conference.
Our delegates were represented in all six simulated committees, which are the UN Security Council, UN Development Program, UN Office on Drugs and Crime, UN Children’s Fund, Executive Corporation Meeting and United States Security Council respectively.
As an outcome of the Conference MUNRFE delegation was credentialed with 4 individual awards: Mr. Markus Schwaiger and Ms. Ekaterina Sadovskaia were recognized as “Outstanding delegates” of their respective committees, Mr. Andrew Moon got “Best position paper” award, while Mr. Egor Klimovich received a Verbal Commendation.
Besides participation in the Conference our delegation attended a briefing in the ASEAN Secretariat conducted by the Heads of International Divisions 2 and 3 Ms. Joanne Lin and Mr. Phanthaly Chantharathip, as well as visited the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Jakarta having a briefing with the Attaché of the Embassy Ms. Elizaveta Andreeva and Secretary of the Permanent Mission of Russia to ASEAN Mr. Roman Grishanov. Moreover, our delegates performed as invited speakers at the Higher School of Law “IBLAM” in frames of the International Talk show on leadership.
We would like to sincerely thank all those MUNRFE members and alumni who contributed to the preparation of our bright leaders for the Conference abroad by conducting lectures and trainings at the training week, namely Mr. Vitaly Savenkov, Ms. Ksenia Shevtsova, Ms. Elena Kiseleva and Mr. Jesse Thomas. We hope that each and every participation of our delegation at the international Conference will bring even more results not only in frames of awards received but experience and knowledge gained. We once again congratulate the team to JOINMUN 2017 with their bright success and wish them not stop in the field of their personal development.
