New Year address from MUNRFE Board
The year of 2017 became another turning point for our Organization as we have conquered new mountains while pursuing our main goal: inspire youth to lead. We have successfully accomplished our traditional MUNRFE events, having significantly increased the level of their implementation. In this regard, we have conducted the second edition of our UN4MUN conference - Far Eastern Model UN 2017 with the participation of WFUNA Model UN Coordinator Mr. William Yotive. Also, we have successfully conducted our summer program FireStarter and MUNRFE Annual Conference. Besides successfully enhancing our traditional events, MUNRFE have completed such brand-new events as APRU-FEFU Undergraduate Leaders’ Program, Russia-Japan Student Forum in frames of the Eastern Youth Economic Forum, Regional Platform of World Festival of Youth and Students and the Student Unity Day in the Far Eastern Federal University.
Traditionally, the members of the Organization demonstrated their best skills and capacities at the international level, bringing awards from the National Model UN in New York, USA, Churkin-Moscow International Model UN and Jogja International Model UN in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Moreover, this year we have broadened the geography of our events, having been involved in WFUNA Youth Camp: Korea and WEMUN Expo in Beijing, China. Moreover, for the first time in MUNRFE history, our representative was selected to the Senior Secretariat of WFUNA International Model UN 2018 (WIMUN). It is our pride and honor that by the end of 2017 three MUNRFE members have performed at the United Nations Headquarters in frames of WIMUN. In 2017 MUNRFE has also widened its list of partners having signed new agreements with Lomonosov Moscow International Model UN and the Higher School of Law IBLAM.
The list of MUNRFE achievements in 2017 is for sure not limited to those mentioned above. However, these achievements once again prove the level of our incredible growth from year to year. As we know, each and every success cannot be achieved without overcoming numerous challenges. However, MUNRFE is always in moving forward because of our unity and trust in each other. We believe that next year will be full of new achievements and new results, as our MUNRFE family continues to grow and to become stronger. In this regard, MUNRFE Board would like to wish the members of the Organization to set new goals and to successfully achieve them in 2018. May this upcoming year bring you lots of joy and happiness!
