"FireStarter" presentation was conducted in Belogorsk
On February 22, 2018 the presentation of “FireStarter 2018” was conducted in the city of Belogorsk, Amur Region. The presentation took place at the local Center of Education and it gathered more than 20 young leaders interested in their personal development and improving the world around.
MUNRFE Vladivostok Club member Mr. Vsevolod Cheresov in frames of the presentation of the project provided young leaders with an interactive lecture on the work of the United Nations, its goals and principles, values and commitments. It is notable that all attendants took an active part in the discussion showing knowledge on the topic and expressing their thoughts and ideas. They watched an inspiring video about the Sustainable Development Goals.
Right after a short lecture, the students had a chance to become familiar with the Model United Nations of the Russian Far East. Students learnt more about the unique opportunity to become a part of this event that has no equivalents in Russia and to make it the beginning of their success story and a great chance to constantly practice their English speaking and writing skills as it is the official language of the Summer Program. At the same time, they don't have to leave the Russian Far East and go somewhere far away abroad - everything is at hand. Moreover, experienced advisors and invited guests will read lectures on the subjects of international relations, the work of the UN, leadership capacities, public speaking skills, team-building, time-management, and many others. The knowledge acquired during the lectures is highly practical and can be applied to any sphere of the students' future life and help them be successful. The trainings and master classes will end up with a Model UN Conference, letting participant to try on a role of real diplomats and enhance their debating skills.
Students from Belogorsk have already expressed their interest in the Summer Program "FireStarter 2018" and their willingness to combine summer holidays and pleasure with gaining useful experience and boosting their self-development. We are waiting for new gifted leaders and their bright ideas.
