Earth Hour 2019 was successfully conducted in FEFU
On March 30, MUNRFE jointly with Far Eastern Federal University conducted the Earth Hour 2019 under the leadership of Mr. Maksim Sorokin, Ms. Aleksandra Chernysheva, and Mr. Dmitry Trushko.
The event gathered more than 120 students from FEFU, Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service (VSUES), and Vladivostok schools. The welcoming words were delivered by MUNRFE Executive director Ms. Alexandra Kosyreva. The event itself was conducted in the form of a quiz followed by a flash mob accompanied by switching off the illumination of the main FEFU building.
The quiz covered questions related to environmental issues and the ways to tackle them. Also, the quiz included "The perfect world" game, in which the participants had to imagine the world without global issues and think of the ways to achieve it. Following the quiz, the attendees had a chance to participate in a bright flash mob with luminescent sticks, making up the light bulb as a symbol of the event. Also, during the flash mob, the illumination of the FEFU main building was switched off.
The winners of the quiz were awarded the gifts from event partners namely "Eastern Center of Foreign Book", "Panda Workshop" and cinema chain "ILLUZION".
MUNRFE notes with deepest gratitude the great contribution to the preparation and conducting of the event of Far Eastern Federal University as well as all above-mentioned sponsors and hopes for further cooperation.
Also, MUNRFE notes with appreciation the Working Group members’ work namely Mr. Dmitry Karlov, Mr. Konstantin Golnev, Ms. Alexandra Mikhailyuk, Ms. Alina Medved, Ms. Daria Denisova, Ms. Anna Nikolaeva and Ms. Alyona Schin.
