Welcome MUNRFE Deputy Executive Director Mr. Aleksei Stanonis
October 2019 turns out to be full of events for MUNRFE. Not long after the 19th Anniversary of the MUNRFE establishment, the new MUNRFE Deputy Executive Director Mr. Aleksei Stanonis was appointed.
Before occupying the position of the Deputy ED, Aleksei had served as the Assistant ED (April 2019 – October 2019), MUNRFE Vladivostok Club President (October 2018 – March 2019), Vladivostok Club Vice-President (March 2018 – October 2018). Currently, he is a Senior B.A. student in International Relations, Institute of Oriental Studies - School of Regional and International Studies, Far Eastern Federal University. Also, Aleksei is performing as the MUNRFE Annual Conference 2019 Secretary-General.
Mr. Aleksei Stanonis became a member of MUNRFE in 2014 being a junior high school student. He has participated in numerous conferences as a delegate and was awarded as the Outstanding Delegate at MUNRFE Annual Conferences in 2015 and 2017 and as a member of an Outstanding Delegation at MUNRFE AC 2015 and National Model UN 2018 in New York, USA. He also served as the Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs (Security Council President) at MUNRFE AC 2018, Security Council President at Far Eastern MUN 2017, and General Assembly President at FEMUN 2018. Besides, Aleksei occupied several positions in MUNRFE leadership, including Vladivostok Club Vice-President and President (2017-2018). Since April 2019, he has been a member of the Board, and now he serves as MUNRFE Deputy Executive Director and the MUNRFE Annual Conference 2019 Secretary-General.
Throughout his MUN career, Aleksei has been an active participant of various international youth events: XIX World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi, Korea-Russia Youth Dialog 2017 in Phenchang (RoK), Russia-NATO youth round tables in Moscow and Brussels,Belgium, VI International Conference of Young Orientalists “East Asia in changing world” at the Institute of Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow, “Future of the European Security System” workshop in Berlin (Germany). As an International Relations undergraduate student, Aleksei had a privilege to get an internship in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
