Workshop on SDGs within the All-Russia Campaign “Know Your Goals”
On September 28, MUNRFE conducted its first Workshop on Sustainable Development Goals on the premises on the Far Eastern Federal University as a part of the all-Russia campaign “Know Your Goals” organized by the NGO “Open School for Sustainable Development”. The workshop was held along with the online-campaign led by MUNRFE Senior Associate for Public Information Galina Salnikova.
The Workshop consisted of a lecture about the SDGs, delivered by MUNRFE Executive Director Alexandra Kosyreva, and a set of trainings of SDG targets and their impact on global society. The culminating point was the elaboration of social projects with the assistance of the invited expert, the MUNRFE Annual Conference 2018 Under-Secretary-General for Conference Management Diana Tereshchenko.
Moreover, the whole campaign was devoted to the Global Goals Week by the United Nations that took place from 21-30 September 2019. The Global Goals Week aims at raising public awareness of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals as well as at calling for the governments to put more effort on achieving Agenda 2030.
MUNRFE is fully committed to the promotion of the Sustainable Development concept. The Organization’s members regularly conduct a variety of events devoted to the Agenda. That is why this workshop became a new step for the Organization as that was the first time MUNRFE had joined the all-Russian movement on raising awareness about the SDGs.
