MUNRFE Blagoveshchensk Club took part in 2020 MEPhI UN SC Model
MUNRFE Blagoveshchensk Club participated in the 2020 MEPhI United Nations Security Council Model which was held in an online format by distinguished members of Science Diplomacy Club MEPhI. The agenda of the UN SC Model was devoted to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In frames of the event, delegates had an opportunity to deepen their knowledge on the agenda item by visiting lectures of experts as well as master their MUN skills during the SC simulation.
The whole event was divided into three sessions:

The attendance of the highly informative lectures performed by qualified experts contributed to the preparation of delegates for further debates properly and raise their awareness on the conflict itself and the UN activities in frames of this agenda.
As a result of vigorous debates, delegates submitted a draft resolution with the potential solutions to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The agreement achieved among the delegates indicates a continuous and fruitful work within the Council.
Moreover, by the end of the event, the winners were identified in two nominations:
“Outstanding delegation”;
“Outstanding delegate”.
In accordance with general voting and final assessments by the organizers of 2020 MEPhI UN SC Model, it was unanimously decided to give the delegation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland the “Outstanding Delegation” award. Thereby, its member, the MUNRFE Blagoveshchensk Club President, Ms. Anna Ivankina is recognized as one of the winners of MEPhI United Nations Security Council Model 2020!
