2022: Year in Review
While 2023 is standing just around the corner, we sum up the results of 2022 to get ready for opening the door to the coming year.
It seems that the time to say goodbye to 2022 has come. This year brought numerous incredibly warm, bright, and sometimes even touching memories to the MUNRFE members.
Churkin Moscow International Model UN 2022
Churkin Moscow International Model UN 2022 was held on April 17-22. Being the largest Model UN in Russia and Eastern Europe, it hosted more than 700 delegates at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, including the MUNRFE delegation:
- Tatiana Akuneeva (adviser);
- Alexei Kuzmin and Violetta Stasiuk (Blagoveshchensk);
- Viacheslav Ermoshin, Stepan Zakharchuk, Anna Barysheva, and Ekaterina Eremina (Vladivostok).
It is a pleasure to note that Polina Dolgopolova also performed the duties of the Expert of the UN International Children's Fund.
Far Eastern Model UN 2022
On May 13-16, 55 delegates from all over Russia gathered at FEFU to try themselves in the art of diplomacy at the Far Eastern Model UN 2022. After 4 days of discussions and writing resolutions, 5 winners received Diplomacy Awards. In the upcoming 2023, Artem Safronov, Ksenia Zaitseva, Alina Vidyakina, Maxim Krivonosov and Alexandra Kurnakova will visit Churkin Moscow International Model UN 2023.
World Refugee Week 2022: No Boundaries
On June 15-20, for the second time, the MUNRFE Vladivostok Club has successfully hosted the World Refugee Week 2022 “No Boundaries” project: with the support of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Russia. The project was implemented under the guidance of Ksenia Zaitseva as its Coordinator and Aina Koryakina as the Vice-Coordinator. The results of the Refugee Week were published in the UNHCR monthly digest.
7th International Sports Games “Children of Asia” 2022
From July 27 to August 8, Vladivostok hosted the 7th International Sports Games “Children of Asia”. Overall, 21 teams from 12 Asian countries and 8 regions of Russia took part in the games. MUNRFE was one of co-organizers of the championship, while Ms. Maria Chizhova served as the international department specialist. As a part of the volunteers’ corps, members of MUNFRE also became participants of the event, accompanying the honorable guests as attaché-interpreters.
21st MUNRFE Annual Conference 2022
21st MUNRFE Annual Conference 2022, held on December 1-5, became one of the most colorful and memorable events of the year for the members of MUNRFE. This year, the Conference brought together more about 90 delegates. According to the results of the Conference, Semyon Chulsky, Daria Vasilyeva, Viachaslav Ermoshin, Chimita Choynzhinova and Maxim Krivonosov became the recipients of the Outstanding Delegate award. Next year the winners attend the Future We Want MUN - New Delhi 2023 in India.
International Student Unity Day 2022
International Student Unity Day became the final major event of the year. On December 23, delegations from 50 countries that has representatives among the students of Far Eastern Federal University gathered to celebrate this feast together and share their unique culture. MUNRFE was a co-organizer of the festival, accompanying honorable guests from the foreign states.
Of course, this list includes not all the achievements of MUNRFE in 2022. This year, members of the Organization were involved in many other brilliant projects. In the coming 2023, we wish you not to lose your perseverance and desire to realize your most ambitious dreams. Spend these magical New Year's days with your closest and dearest people.
