Registration for the Far Eastern Model United Nations 2023 is open
On March 19, the registration for the Far Eastern Model United Nations 2023 was officially opened. The Conference will take place on May 12-15 on the premises of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, Russia.
Far Eastern Model United Nations 2023 is to be conducted for the eighth time, while remaining as the only Model UN Conference in Russia to apply the principles of UN4MUN format, developed in 2009 by the UN Department of Global Communications. Students from Russia and other states will come together to the Russian Far East to discuss various global existing issues: from cooperation in coastal zones to cybersecurity and threats to maintaining peace. This year, will be simulated following Committees: the UN Security Council, the UN General Assembly Second Committee, and the UN General Assembly Third Committee. Besides debate sessions, delegates will be able to practice negotiating skills both formally and informally during the Culture Program and lectures from the invited experts.
This year, Ms. Polina Dolgopolova will serve as the Secretary-General of the Conference, while the responsibilities of the Under-Secretary-General for Conference Management will be carried out by Ms. Daria Vasileva. Ms. Dolgopolova has shown her competence while leading the MUNRFE Vladivostok Club as well as its projects, representing MUNRFE at the International MUN 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Churkin Moscow International Model United Nations 2021 and 2022, and being the Secretariat member of Far Eastern Model UN 2020 and 2021. Ms. Vasilieva has demonstrated her professionalism during previous MUNRFE Conferences and will represent the Organization at the Future We Want MUN - New Delhi 2023 in India.
