MUNRFE Board is delighted to congratulate the members of the organization with the upcoming New Year 2017! The year of 2016 was filled with plenty of new achievements and successes. MUNRFE members have attended numerous places worldwide, having represented the organization at the highest level in such places as New York (Unites States), Moscow (Russia), Agra (India), Siem Reap (Cambodia) and Kobe (Japan). Moreover, MUNRFE has implemented a wide range of activities, which have brought the organization to the new level of and contributed to the development and rallying of MUNRFE members. The Board expresses its hopes that the next year of 2017 brings you lots of joy and happiness and provides plethora of new opportunities for your personal and professional development. We wish each person to spend an awesome time celebrating this magic holiday! May all your wishes come true and may all goals be implemented.
MUNRFE Delegation NMUN - Japan at "Ajax 2016"
MUNRFE delegation to the National Model UN – Japan 2016 (Yulia Kosiakova, Aleksandra Kosyreva, Alena Filimonova, Yana Krasnitskaya, Anna Timokhina and their adviser - Elena Kiseleva) was nominated for the “Success of the year” Award at the Far Eastern Federal University Student’s annual Awarding Ceremony “Ajax 2016”. In November the delegation demonstrated its most outstanding skills and capacities during the NMUN - Japan 2016 in Kobe and as a result received numerous awards such as Outstanding Delegate, Outstanding Position Paper, Outstanding Delegation and Distinguished Delegation. NMUN - Japan 2016 united more than 300 students from all over the world, where MUNRFE delegation became the only Russian delegation at the Conference. MUNRFE members debated with the students from the most prestigious and top universities from all over the globe and once again proved the high level of the university, having represented Far Eestern Federal University at the highest level. As a recognition of their success the university nominated students for “Success of the year” Award at “Ajax 2016”.
MUNRFE visit to the Orphanage 2
On December 24, 2016 Vladivostok MUNRFE Club visited the Orphanage №2 in order to make a real celebration of New Year for children. This visit to the orphanage become a real tradition for the Club as we are not only inspiring youth to lead and improve their different skills, but also share our love and friendship with those who need it. Club members have prepared an entertaining program with different games connected to the upcoming holiday. And on this very day, being dressed in different fairy-tale heroes, celebrated this amazing and charming holiday. After children completed all the competitions including singing songs, reeling and laughing, appeared the symbol of the New Year 2017 – Chicken with wishes and sweet presents. Kids were extremely happy and excited. We hope that this New Year will bring them much more happiness than the previous one. Our contribution brought a lot of happiness for all the children who were glad to see our Club again and wish to have fun with us even more.
MUNRFE 15th Anniversary Conference: Report
MUNRFE 15th Anniversary Conference has been successfully implemented in the Far Eastern Federal University on December 2 - 5, 2016 and gathered around 70 participants from different parts of the world. The Conference was opened by the following keynote speakers at the Opening ceremony: FEFU Vice-President for Academic Affairs Dr. Andrey N. Shushin, MUNRFE Director-General Mr. Vitaly E. Savenkov, the Second Secretary of the Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in Vladivostok, Mr. Evgeny S. Volosastov and the Secretary-General of the Conference Ms. Elena A. Kiseleva. In frames of the Conference four committees were simulated: one in Russian - UN General Assembly and three in English - UN Security Council, UN Human Rights Council and World Bank. Besides taking part in the MUN debates, the participants had an opportunity to attend two seminars in English and in Russian led by Dr. Semyon Korotich and Mr. Ilya Sinenko respectively. Traditionally, those delegates who demonstrated the most outstanding skills and knowledge were granted an honor to represent MUNRFE at the National Model United Nations 2017 in New York. According to the results, the Outstanding Delegates are Anna Timokhina (China, World Bank), Aleksandra Kosyreva (China in Human Rights Council) and Julia Nedel'kina (United Kingdom, World Bank). MUNRFE warmly congratulates the outstanding delegates and wishes to represent our organization at the highest level at the upcoming NMUN - New York 2017.
MUNRFE 15th Anniversary Conference: Opening Ceremony
On 2 December, 2016 the MUNRFE 15th Anniversary Conference has officially started. More than 70 young diplomats gathered in the beautiful campus of the Far Eastern Federal University from Russia and abroad, including China, USA, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Zambia and Uzbekistan. The Opening Ceremony was opened by the FEFU Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Mr. Andrey N. Shushin, who emphasized the importance of MUNRFE constant development and sincerely wished the organization to conduct the Conference on the highest level. Furthermore, the Ceremony continued with the speech of the MUNRFE Director-General, Mr. Vitaly E. Savenkov who stated that students participating in Model UN Conferences can open the world of opportunities for boosting of their leadership, public-speaking, negotiations, and diplomatic language. The next welcoming speech was delivered by the honorable guest of the Conference, the Second Secretary of the Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in Vladivostok, Mr. Evgeny S. Volosastov, who underlined the importance of participation in MUN activities, as they serve a unique tool for development of such skills and qualities as professionalism, knowledge of international relations and politics.
MUNRFE at the National Model UN - Japan 2016
On November 20 – 26, 2016 the MUNRFE successfully represented the organization and the Russian Federation at the National Model United Nations (NMUN) – Japan 2016 in Kobe. Under the guidance of Ms. Elena Kiseleva, the students of the Far Eastern Federal University Ms. Anna Timokhina, Ms. Alena Filimonova, Ms. Alexandra Kosyreva, Ms. Yulia Kosiakova and Ms. Yana Krasnitskaya once again have proved the highest level of professionalism and knowledge of MUNRFE members. This year, the National Model UN – Japan 2016 united more than 300 students from all over the globe including the United States, Italy, Japan, Czech Republic, Philippines and other, where MUNRFE delegation became the only Russian delegation at the Conference. For the first time in frames of the NMUN participation the delegation represented two countries – the United Mexican States and the Republic of Ecuador represented in the UN General Assembly and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. As an ultimate result, the hard preparation, teamwork and devotion of the delegation to success have led to the following results:
