On 5 December, the MUNRFE Annual Conference 2019 has officially started. The Conference gathered around 90 participants from various parts of Russia and abroad on the premises of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) in Vladivostok. The participants represent United Nations Member States to four committees, namely: East Asia Summit, UN Environmental Assembly, UN Security Council as well as World Bank.
The introductory word was given by Dr. Danil A. Scherban, FEFU Deputy Vice-President for International Relations, who emphasized the importance of holding such events to promote youth-to-youth level communication, build bonds with the future leaders, who, Mr. Scherban insisted, are the leaders of today capable of improving our contemporary world. Further, Ms. Alexandra Yu. Kosyreva, MUNRFE Executive Director, expressed her deepest gratitude to MUNRFE strategic partner - Far Eastern Federal University - for the constant support of the Organization’s activities and events.

A lot of people took part in the Competition for covering a part of or all the travel and accommodaton expenditures for the MUNRFE Annual Conference 2019. The Secretariat was into tough delaborations while choosing the winners.
Model United Nations of the Russian Far East (MUNRFE) invites young leaders interested in international relations and concerned about global issues to participate in MUNRFE Annual Conference 2019*, which will take place on 5-9 December 2019. The main partner of the event is Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU).
Model UN format implies that delegates will have a chance to act as actual diplomats and represent the interests of UN Member States regarding such global challenges as environment protection, sustainable development, and maintenance of international peace and security. In addition, the Conference is a perfect platform to acquire and master a variety of skills including negotiations, documents writing, leadership, public speaking, and others.
On December 7-10, MUNRFE successfully implemented the 17th Annual Conference. The event conducted on the premises of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) in Vladivostok gathered around 85 participants from various parts of Russia as well as from abroad. The participants represented United Nations member states to four committees, namely: Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND), Security Council (SC) as well as World Bank (WB). The Conference was organized in cooperation with UN Information Centre in Moscow, UN Association of Russia, Subregional Office for East and North-East Asia of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, Far Eastern branch of the ‘‘Russkiy Mir’’ Foundation, Fund of Presidential Grants, and Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of Russia.
December 2018 is going to be marked by one of the most exciting events organized by MUNRFE – Annual Conference 2018. The Conference is to take place on December 7-10, 2018 in Far Eastern Federal University, Vladivostok, Russia. It is going to be the 17th Conference of this format conducted by MUNRFE.
MUNRFE Annual Conference (MUNRFE AC) is conducted in the form of Model UN simulation, where delegates represent UN Member States, discuss global agenda items in frames of simulated UN bodies, and write officially formatted resolutions, which contain their proposals how to tackle the problems.
Besides debate sessions, the Conference includes lectures and seminars delivered by the invited experts. Last year, MUNRFE AC 2017 hosted Mr. Oleg Dunaev, International Expert on Development in Russian-speaking subdivision of the International Evaluation Network - EVALSDGs located in Moscow.
On December 1-5, 2017 Model United Nations on the Russian Far East successfully organized its traditional event - MUNRFE Annual Conference 2017 on the premises of Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, Russia. The event which gathered participants from Republic of Korea, Pakistan, Indonesia and Japan was implemented under the leadership of the Secretary-General, Ms. Anna Timokhina and Under-Secretary-General for Conference Management, Ms. Julia Nedelkina. In frames of the Conference 4 committees in English language were simulated, namely: High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, Security Council, Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice and World Bank. Throughout the conference delegates were striving to find a solution on the issues of global importance as well as to demonstrate their best skills and capacities. The Program of the Conference also included seminars on the assessment and evaluation of Sustainable Development Goals delivered by the Invited Expert, International Development Consultant of International Association’’EVALSDGs’’ Mr. Oleg I. Dunaev.
