Round Table 2019 will be conducted by MUNRFE Vladivostok Club in April
On April 3-13 MUNRFE Vladivostok Club will conduct its traditional project – the Round Table (RT) 2019, giving everyone an opportunity to enhance their knowledge on the topic of humanitarian aid and then debate on the agenda – "Strengthening international cooperation in humanitarian assistance" in frames of Model UN simulation. The event will be held in Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) under the leadership of MUNRFE Public Information Junior Associate – Ms. Elizaveta Kalinina and MUNRFE Vladivostok Club Manager for Public Information - Ms. Daria Kurushina. During the two weeks of the project, its participants will have a chance to attend lectures about international relations, namely, a hindrance to humanitarian aid and global migration processes, as well as the role of the United Nations in handling these issues by invited experts from FEFU.
Also, the event organizers have prepared trainings on such topics as ‘‘Critical thinking’’ and ‘‘Art of debates’’ by experienced members of MUNRFE Vladivostok Club. There will be FEFU International Relations Department Assistant Professor - Dr. Andrey Kozinets, FEFU International relations Department Assistant - Ms. Marina Pershina and MUNRFE Executive Director Ms. Alexandra Kosyreva among the lecturers. The first lecture by Dr. Kozinets about the world’s main humanitarian organizations, humanitarian aid versus political interests as well as discussion of the most recent cases such as Venezuela Crisis will take place on April 3, 18.30, in FEFU. On the last day of the project, April 13, with the skills and knowledge acquired, the students can take part in Final Debates, the Model United Nations simulation of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and try on the role of real delegates of the assigned countries.
The winner of the Final Debates will get an opportunity of free participation in the Far Eastern Model United Nations 2019 — the only Model UN Conference in Russia conducted with UN4MUN Rules of Procedure.
