Youth of the Far East promote the Sustainable Development Goals
Model UN of the Russian Far East invites everyone to take part in the educational online project "Sustainable Development Project: Work on Goals", dedicated to the study of the global agenda for sustainable development of the United Nations. The event will be held in English.
From November 10 to November 11, students online will get an expert opinion on the ways to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the role of Russia in their implementation, as well as get acquainted with the history of the development of the concept of sustainable development. Moreover, the participants will get acquainted with the role of the SDG Youth Envoys in Russia in the implementation of the Global Goals.
Let us remind you that in April 2020, two MUNRFE members, Polina Varfolomeeva and Aleksei Stanonis, received the status of Youth Envoys for SDG 1 (Eradicate poverty in all its forms everywhere) and 9 (Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation) in Russia.
Students will also have the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in practice in frames of three thematic tracks. Registration for the event will end on November 8. Stay tuned for updates in the VKontakte group (https://vk.com/sdg_workshop).
