MUNRFE Executive Director at UNHCR Russia
On November 2, MUNRFE Executive Director Mr. Aleksei Stanonis visited the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Representation in Moscow. In the frames of the meeting, Mr. Vanno Noupech, the UNHCR Representative in the Russian Federation, and Mr. Stanonis underlined the importance of awareness-raising on the issue of refugees and the necessity of education in this particular sphere. Moreover, the meeting was marked by the negotiation on the future steps within the joint cooperation in the period of 2020-2021.
The UNHCR Representation in the Russian Federation is a partner of the MUNRFE Annual Conference 2020. The invited expert of the UN Refugee Agency will conduct a briefing for the delegates to the UN Environment Assembly in order to provide access to the firsthand information about work of the UN in the refugee protection.
