On October 19 MUNRFE Executive Director Ms. Elena A. Kiseleva and MUNRFE Financial Director Ms. Ekaterina V. Tretiakova were awarded with special scholarship for their impact to social life of the Far Eastern Federal University. This increased academic scholarship is annually given to 25 students who made the most significant contribution to the university in the spheres of social activity, science, sports and arts for the period of their studies. The awards were officially presented by the Interim President of FEFU, Mr. Nikita Yu. Anisimov at the gala concert in the honor of FEFU 118th Birthday. FEFU President expressed his deepest gratitude to recipients of award who facilitate the development of students’ leadership within the university and promote the institution in Russia and abroad. Both bright ladies of MUNRFE have measurably contributed to the university, organizing on its basis such high-level international youth events as MUNRFE 15th Anniversary Conference and Far Eastern Model UN 2016, Far Eastern Model UN 2017, APRU-FEFU Undergraduate Leaders’ Program and Regional Platform of the World Festival of Youth and Students in 2017 along with a huge range of university and city level events and initiatives.

This year Model United Nations of the Russian Far East became a co-organizer of the Regional Program of the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students (WFYS) which was implemented in the Far Eastern Federal University.

On October 9 the members of MUNRFE Vladivostok Club, in particular, its President Ms. Anna Timokhina, Ms. Yana Krasnitskaya, Mr. Alexey Stanonis, Ms. Polina Varfolomeeva, Mr. Egor Klimovich, Ms. Ekaterina Tretiakova, Ms. Julia Nedelkina and Ms. Veronika Tkachenko were invited to the All-Russian Children Center “Okean”. MUNRFE members delivered a lecture on public-speaking for the participants as well as conducted entertaining trainings aimed at enhancement of their skills of effective performance in front of public. High-school students from 9-11 grades had a marvelous opportunity to learn how to prepare a structured speech and how to attract the attention of the audience applying the 12 second strategy.

MUNRFE Blagoveshchensk Club has successfully conducted its traditional autumn project - Autumn MUNRFE Blagoveshchensk School 2017, which was conducted on September 18-30. The coordinators of the project, Ms. Alina Kurilova and Ms. Kristina Nozhnuyk together with their management team (Ms. Anastsia Klopova, Ms. Anastasia Streltsova and Mr. Nikita Pal'chikov) implemented the project. According to the motto of the School - "Change your dream into a goal", the organizers of the project teached the participants how to overcome any obstacles on their ways and become better, for the sake of realization of their own goals. During two weeks of the School program the Blagoveshchensk Club organized lectures about public-speaking, negotiations, leadership, goal-setting and etc. Moreover, the Club also conducted a really fruitful meeting with the 2nd Secretary of the Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Blagoveshchensk, Mr. Grigoryev Dmitry Anatolievich.

On October 28 the Big Presentation of the project gathered more than a hundred of young leaders. MUNRFE was privileged to host the Vice-President for International Relations of Far Eastern Federal University Dr. Victoria V. Panova who delivered the welcoming address to the participants stating her vision on value of MUNRFE work. Moreover, MUNRFE Executive Director Ms. Elena A. Kiseleva warmly welcomed the guests of the Presentation and underlined the wide range of initiatives implemented by the Organization.
