MUNRFE Annual Conference 2019 Preview
Model United Nations of the Russian Far East (MUNRFE) invites young leaders interested in international relations and concerned about global issues to participate in MUNRFE Annual Conference 2019*, which will take place on 5-9 December 2019. The main partner of the event is Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU).
Model UN format implies that delegates will have a chance to act as actual diplomats and represent the interests of UN Member States regarding such global challenges as environment protection, sustainable development, and maintenance of international peace and security. In addition, the Conference is a perfect platform to acquire and master a variety of skills including negotiations, documents writing, leadership, public speaking, and others.
At MUNRFE Annual Conference 2019 the following committees will be simulated:
- UN Environment Assembly;
- UN Security Council;
- East Asia Summit;
- World Bank.
The delegates who demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, background knowledge, public speaking, and debating skills will be granted with the opportunity to participate in the National Model UN 2020 in New York, the USA, the world’s largest Model UN Conference.
Besides debate sessions, MUNRFE Annual Conference 2019 will include cultural and educational programs. The educational part will be dedicated to the work of the United Nations on the implementation of the agenda for sustainable development. At the cultural program, the delegates will have a chance to explore Vladivostok and make friends with participants from other committees.
The venue of the Annual Conference is one more thing that deserves special attention. FEFU has one of the most modern campuses in the world. Since 2012, the Campus has become a regular platform for such international events as APEC Summit, Four Eastern Economic Forums, Third Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit, and many more. FEFU Campus always provides its students with innovative infrastructure suitable for studying and research and its guests – with comfortable accommodation and picturesque views.
The registration for MUNRFE Annual Conference 2019 will open on 1 July 2019.
In order to provide non-Vladivostok and international delegates with more opportunities for participation in the event, MUNRFE will open a Grant Competition, which will provide its winners with a 50% refund of travel expenses or free accommodation in FEFU Hotel Complex during the Conference (5 nights). All information about the Competition will be published in the “Grant Competition” section.
