On April 12 the Director of the Far Eastern Branch of «Russkiy Mir» Foundation - Dr. Alexander Zubritsky visited Far Eastern Federal University and attended the meeting with MUNRFE members namely Governing Council Chairman Mr. Vitaly Savenkov, MUNRFE Advisor Ms. Elena Kiseleva, Acting President and Vice-President Ms. Alexandra Kosyreva and Aleksei Stanonis respectively, Ms. Oksana Bozhenova, Ms. Polina Varfolomeeva, Mr. Andrew Moon, Ms. Galina Salnikova, Ms. Kamilla Dogui-ool, Ms. Alyona Plekhanova, Mr. Vsevolod Cheresov, Ms. Aleksandra Chernysheva and Ms. Daria Zlydar.
Dr. Zubritsky shared with Vladivostok Club his professional experience in the spheres of education, politics and international cooperation. Moreover, during the meeting members of the Club had a unique opportunity to participate in the interactive discussion with the guest and to receive precious knowledge about the cultural influence of the Russian Far East and the work of "Russkiy Mir" Foundation in creating the image of Russia at the global level.
MUNRFE Governing Council Chairman, Mr. Vitaly Savenkov and former MUNRFE Executive Director, Ms. Elena Kiseleva have successfully completed international selection for the position in the UN4MUN Secretariat team at WEMUN Expo 2018, that shall be implemented on August 3-6 at the Beijing Olympic Convention Center in Beijing, China. Throughout the selection process both MUNRFE representatives demonstrated their best competences and deep knowledge in the UN4MUN approach and became the only representatives from the Russian Federation in the UN4MUN Secretariat. As a result, Mr. Savenkov will be performing the duties of the Security Council Director, whereas Ms. Kiseleva was selected as the ECOSOC Secretary, which will be simulated for the first time applying UN4MUN procedure at WEMUN Expo.
Last year, Mr. Savenkov and Ms. Kiseleva were both selected to be perform the duties of two Security Council Directors (university and high school respectively) at WEMUN 2017.
Model UN of the Russian Far East is happy to announce that the call for applications for the Summer Program FireStarter2018 is already launched!
This year “FireStarter” will be conducted on August 13-26 in summer camp “Asteroid” (Ussuriysk). It ranked in the top five of Primorsky Territory’s camp, as it has one of the most comfortable living conditions: four persons in the room with bath and lavatory. Furthermore the camp has an aqua-park with three swimming pools, slides and attractions, cinema hall, sports grounds, tennis court, salt room, planetarium, and disco hall, where participants of the Program will definitely have fun. In addition to abovementioned interactive opportunities during “FireStarter” a lot of awesome and fascinating events such as various contests, quests, interactive games, and sport competitions will be held.

The winners have demonstrated their profound knowledge regarding the agenda items of the Conference along with the aspiration to attend the event. In frames of the Grant Competition the participants were required to submit a Motivational Letter and an Essay on one of the topics of the Conference.
During the period from 26 March to 7 April the MUNRFE Vladivostok Club conducted the Round Table 2018 under the leadership of its Coordinators – Ms. Kamilla Dogui-ool and Ms. Alyona Plekhanova. At this event students discussed the problem related to the threat of financial crimes in international economic security. The program of Round Table lasted for 2 weeks with the set of lectures and trainings aimed at expanding of participants’ knowledge, their personal competence and in the sphere of International Financial Relations with the involvement of invited professor from FEFU School of Economics and Management, Mr. Maxim E. Krivelevich, specializing in finance with a focus on the World Economy. Experienced members of the MUNRFE also delivered lectures on topics related to the United Nations, Sustainable Development Goals, public-speaking along with negotiations and decision-making process.
On April 2-4 members of MUNRFE Vladivostok Club namely its President and Vice-President Ms. Anna Timokhina and Ms. Alexandra Kosyreva respectively and Ms. Oksana Bozhenova, Ms. Polina Varfolomeeva, Mr. Egor Klimovich and Ms. Galina Salnikova took part in School of Leadership in Volno-Nadezhdinskoe rural settlement. 20 outstanding schoolchildren became participants of the event and listened to a set of lectures and trainings on the topics of leadership, goal-setting, team-work, public-speaking delivered by MUNRFE members. The project concluded with a Closing Ceremony attended by the Head of Nadezhdinskoe rural settlement – Mr. Stanislav A. Prokhorov who expressed his biggest gratitude to MUNRFE contribution.
