On the 21st of February, 2014, the Presidential Elections were held in Khabarovsk MUNRFE Club. The majority of the Club has decided to elect the current President, Ms. Elena Kiseleva, for the second term in a row. Another candidate, competing for the position of the President, Mr. Vladislav Ulanov, has been appointed as the Vice-President.

Vladivostok Club has conducted the elections of its President on the 13th of February, 2014. By the unanimous vote, Ms. Ksenia Shevtsova, who served as a Vice-President of the Club and performed the duties of the Acting President, was elected as the new President till September, 2014. Mr. Alexander Yugay will serve as her primary flanking officer as a Vice-President.

On February 11 the Chair of the Civic Chamber of Amur Region, Mr. Vladimir V. Sedov, awarded the Letter of Gratitude to the Director-General of MUNRFE, Mr. Vitaliy E. ‘Many languages, one world’: UN launches essay contest to celebrate multilingualism


In the changing world the importance of international contacts and multicultural exchange is advancing, while the ability to speak several languages gradually becomes a new standard of life. Realizing a current need to enhance global understanding, the United Nations is announcing an essay contest. The UN suggests college and university students to write an essay in one of its six official languages on the role of multilingualism in a globalized world.

A new global campaign by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime


A new global campaign by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) was launched today to raise awareness among consumers of the $250 billion a year illicit trafficking of counterfeit goods. The campaign – ‘Counterfeit: Don’t buy into organized crime’ – informs consumers that buying counterfeit goods could be funding organized criminal groups, puts consumer health and safety at risk and contributes to other ethical and environmental concerns.
