On October 25 MUNRFE obtained a new international partner located in the city of Jakarta, Indonesia, the Higher School of Law “IBLAM”. The Memorandum of Understanding between two parties was signed by MUNRFE Executive Director Ms. Elena A. Kiseleva from the first side and IBLAM Rector Dr. H. Edy Susanto from the second side, respectively. The cooperation between two institutions was officially proclaimed during the International Talk Show on Western and Eastern Leadership that was organized by the Administration of Higher School of Law “IBLAM”, where MUNRFE team to JOINMUN 2017 performed as invited guests and speakers. The event started with the lecture about MUNRFE that was delivered by the adviser of MUNRFE delegation to JOINMUN 2017, Financial Director Ms. Ekaterina V. Tretiakova. After the lecture the members of the delegation shared their vision on the difference of Western and Eastern Leadership and answered all the questions of the audience, students of the Higher School of Law “IBLAM”.
On October 25 MUNRFE delegation to Jogja International Model UN 2017 attended the briefing in the Secretariat of Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Jakarta (Indonesia). The briefing was conducted by the Heads of External Relations Divisions 2 and 3, Ms. Joanne Lin and Mr. Phanthaly Chantharathip. Ms. Joanne Lin being in charge of collaboration between ASEAN and the United Nations provided delegation with practical information regarding the methods used for building joint approach towards crucial global agenda by two institutions. She underlined the significance of Ministerial Meetings of ASEAN high-level officials with the Secretary-General of the United Nations. Moreover, the Head of External Relations Divisions 2 highlighted the necessity of ASEAN participation in the implementation of the Global Agenda 2030, in particular the Sustainable Development Goals, therefore the Association is working on achievement of complimentary between its Action Plan 2025 and Agenda 2030.
In the year of 1948, October 24 was proclaimed as a day of the United Nations (UN) with the purpose of commemorating the adoption and entry into force of the UN Charter and recalling the world’s population for joint actions towards achieving peace and prosperity all over the globe. In this regard, MUNRFE Vladivostok Club organizes the celebration of the United Nations Day in Far Eastern Federal University on October 26 (Thursday), 6:30 p.m. in co-working Ajax. The main aim of the event is to raise an awareness about the work of the largest international Organization worldwide among FEFU students. During the celebration, the participants will have an opportunity to participate in both educational and interactive activities which will boost their understanding in the sphere of international relations and resolution of global problems. Furthermore, the active participation will be awarded with gifts and memorable souvenirs.

The winners have demonstrated their vast background regarding the topics of the Conference along with the desire to attend the event. In frames of the Grant Competition the participants were required to submit a Motivational Letter and an Essay on one of the agenda items of the Conference.
On October 19 MUNRFE Executive Director Ms. Elena A. Kiseleva and MUNRFE Financial Director Ms. Ekaterina V. Tretiakova were awarded with special scholarship for their impact to social life of the Far Eastern Federal University. This increased academic scholarship is annually given to 25 students who made the most significant contribution to the university in the spheres of social activity, science, sports and arts for the period of their studies. The awards were officially presented by the Interim President of FEFU, Mr. Nikita Yu. Anisimov at the gala concert in the honor of FEFU 118th Birthday. FEFU President expressed his deepest gratitude to recipients of award who facilitate the development of students’ leadership within the university and promote the institution in Russia and abroad. Both bright ladies of MUNRFE have measurably contributed to the university, organizing on its basis such high-level international youth events as MUNRFE 15th Anniversary Conference and Far Eastern Model UN 2016, Far Eastern Model UN 2017, APRU-FEFU Undergraduate Leaders’ Program and Regional Platform of the World Festival of Youth and Students in 2017 along with a huge range of university and city level events and initiatives.
MUNRFE is extremely delighted to introduce its new Financial Director Ms. Ekaterina V. Tretiakova. This young lady has already proved her commitment towards MUNRFE development serving on managerial positions within MUNRFE Vladivostok Club for one year and a half. Broad MUNRFE experience and leadership skills allowed Ekaterina to successfully represent the Organization at Indonesia MUN 2015 (Jakarta, Indonesia), National Model UN 2016 (New York, USA) and Fourth ASEAN-Russia Youth Summit 2016 (Siem Reap, Cambodia). Moreover, Ms. Tretiakova was the organizer of wide range of large scale including, but not limited to Third Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit 2015 (PR Manager), Far Eastern Model UN 2016 (Assistant Secretary-General for General Assembly Affairs and Conference Management), MUNRFE 15th Anniversary Conference (Under-Secretary-General for Conference Management), Far Eastern Model UN 2017 (Secretary-General) and APRU-FEFU Undergraduate Leaders’ Program 2017 (Adviser). We do really consider Ms. Tretiakova to be fully capable to maintain budgeting matters of the Organization being majoring in Accounting for 3 years.
