Two weeks have passed since Anna Ivanova was elected to be the President of Vladivostok MUNRFE club, but due to delayed study year in Vladivostok the first club meeting will be conducted in several days. During those fourteen days members of the club were waiting for a new cabinet and decisions.
Recently I have come back from the Vladivostok Festival of youth social organizations "Vlad Fest" 2012. Due to some circumstances, I was one of those who had an opportunity to take part in this event. In the beginning, I didn’t think I was the right person from our club who could represent the MUNRFE in the way it should be. However, I tried to do all I could and, finally, I did it.
It is the pleasure of the whole Model United Nations to the Russian Far East to announce that one of the most outstanding and biggest projects of our organization – the summer program for high school children “Fire Starter 2012” was successfully conducted in Vladivostok from 10 to 24 of September.
Somebody thinks that in Spain you can only go to parties, enjoy sunbaths, sea, traditional food and just relax. However, there are a lot of opportunities to catch and “mountains” to overcome. Trying Spanish “taste” of local MUN Conferences as a delegate last year, Ksenia Severinova decided to try this taste again, but in a more spicy option. Thus, from the 2nd till the 5th of May, 2012 Ksenia took part in Catalonia Model United Nations Conference as a Co-Chair of General Assembly, and that was Ksenia’s very first experience of being Chair in her life.
Model United Nations of the Russian Far East took part in the Summer School “APEC Youth Summit: goals, priorities and perspectives” organized by the Russian Council on Foreign Relations and Russian Center of APEC Studies in Povarovo, Moscow region. The School took place on the territory of a beautiful summer camp from 2nd to 7th of July.
Maia calendar ends in 2012. Will it mean the end of the time or the great challenge the humanity needs to overcome? The emerging growth of problems unresolved by the world community gradually brings the world out of balance and establishes the ground for future conflicts. Under these circumstances, every state should consider its relations with the rest of the world. This trend underscores the relevance of the Conference topic, namely “Crossing along red line: partnership or competition”.
