WE Model United Nations EXPO 2019, Beijing, China
On 3-6 August 3-6, 2019, MUNRFE Executive Director Alexandra Kosyreva successfully performed the duties of the Secretariat member in UN4MUN segment at the WEMUN Expo Conference organized by WELAND International. The Сonference was on held the premises of the Beijing Olympic Convention Center in Beijing, China and gathered over 1000 participants from more than 80 schools.
Ms. Kosyreva occupied the position of the Economic and Social Council Commission on Social Development Secretary which convened around 30 delegates discussing the agenda item “Social dimensions of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development”.
MUNRFE at the Russian Childrens Center “Ocean”
On July 25-27, MUNRFE organized a short-term course on the United Nations (UN) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for high-school students in the Russian Childrens Center “Ocean”. The program named “Children of the World” gathered young people from 14 countries including Russia, Laos, Vietnam, China, Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Germany, Netherlands, Myanmar, Greece, Switzerland, Germany, and Algeria. Advisory Council Chairman Vitaly Savenkov, Executive Director Alexandra Kosyreva, Vladivostok Club President Daria Zlydar and Club member Ekaterina Eremina introduced key features of the sustainable development, history of the UN as well as public-speaking, negotiations and research techniques to more the 60 students.
MUNRFE shared experience at FEFU-HIT Summer School
From 22 July to 2 August 2019, Far Eastern Federal University and Harbin Institute of Technology held the Summer School on the premises of FEFU. The participants of the Program had a chance to explore one of the best Russian campuses, learn a bit of the Russian language and immerse into the Russian culture. Besides, the school aimed to generally foster the self-development of the HIT students. That is why MUNRFE members took part in the program as well by delivering lectures on soft skills, studying in FEFU, and the United Nations affairs.
MUNRFE members at FEFU TOP-120
On July 11, MUNRFE Executive Director Alexandra Kosyreva and NMUN-NY 2019 team adviser Anna Timokhina were honored to participate in the Graduation Ceremony for 120 best FEFU students. It is a traditional event at which the most outstanding students who contributed a lot to academic and social life in FEFU received their Diploma.
MUNRFE members show outstanding results on a regular basis, that is why no TOP-100 or TOP-120 goes without MUNRFE participation. It shows the reliability of the Organization and a high level of training for its members.
Alexandra and Anna have immensely contributed to the development of the Organization. First of all, they took part in several MUN conferences in Russia and abroad and achieved high results on behalf of MUNRFE. Secondly, they organized a large number of projects ranging from Club to international scale. Finally, they have always been ready to give a helping hand or a piece of advice as people who know what MUNRFE is and share its values with everyone.
Welcome the Yale MUN Korea 2019 team Advisers – Aleksandra Kosyreva and Daria Zlydar
Following the results of the FEMUN 2019 conducted from May 14 – 17, the recipients of Diplomacy Awards who would represent MUNRFE to Yale MUN Korea 2019 were selected. Those delegates showed their capacities to perform successfully at the Conference.
The preparation of these talented and ambitious people will be carried out by MUNRFE Vladivostok Club President Daria Zlydar. Meanwhile, MUNRFE Executive Director Alexandra Kosyreva will ensure the smooth transition of experience and knowledge by performing as a second adviser.
Both advisers already possess immense experience in frames of MUNs locally and abroad as well as occupying various management positions within MUNRFE.
MUNRFE Vladivostok Club raised awareness on Climate Change at the “Climate Project 2019”
From 6-7 June 2019, «Climate Project 2019» was successfully conducted in Far Eastern Federal University. The main aim of the event was to draw attention of the Club members on negative implications of anthropogenic influence on the Earth and the ways to lighten them.
The participants found out the key points of human impact on the environment from the lecture delivered by Far Eastern Climate Smart Lab associate and the lecturer at the FEFU Department of Soil Studies Assoc. Prof. Victoria Semal’ upon the issue of Global Warming. Moreover, Coordinators of the project Daria Kurushina and Christina Tolmacheva introduced the attendees to eco-lifestyle and zero-waste.
