From the 8th of October to the 2nd of November Vladivostok MUNRFE Club was conducting Autumn Master Classes 2015 “Set new start to take the flight” that opened its doors for the new generation of young ambitious leaders. Under the leadership of Ms. Evgenia Belous and Ms. Anastasia Yermoshina Master Classes were started with the Big Presentation where Dr. Sergey V. Ivanets, the President of the Far Eastern Federal University, and Mr. Evgeny S. Volosastov, the Second Secretary of the Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in Vladivostok, came to greet more than 130 students who were willing to try a chance of four weeks of trainings and lectures. Young leaders were actively involved in the process of team-building and negotiations, taking the roles of future leaders and diplomats. The second week of self-development started with division into teams. As a result, 9 teams were created and headed by 12 Vladivostok Club members, who performed the duties of advisers. Prior the Master Classes, advisers were trained to lead their teams and to cope with difficulties during the Advisers’ Training Week. During the last week the participants had an opportunity not only to have fun during the Country Presentations but also to work hard and to prepare for the traditional Final Conference where 70 delegates tried themselves as diplomats of different states. Future newcomers debated as hard as real representatives to the United Nations. At the graduation party 71 participants received their certificates and the delegates who took first places in the Committees of the Final Conference were announced.
On the 8th of October young leaders from Russia and ASEAN countries came to Vladivostok, Far Eastern Federal University to participate in the Third Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit. More than 100 students, representatives of federal and regional institutions and scientific communities discussed the goals of the ASEAN economic integration, opportunities for education and cultural exchange for cooperation development on the intergovernmental level and other related issues. Besides foreign participants, 8 current members and alumni of MUNRFE participated in the Summit.
It was the third Summit for young leaders: the first time it was conducted in Moscow, Russia in 2013, then in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2014. The latter was the one where Mr. Vitaly Savenkov (MUNRFE Director-General) and Ms. Olga Katina (MUNRFE Annual Conference 2014 Secretary-General) had a chance to meet Dr. Victor Sumsky, the Director of the ASEAN Center in MGIMO University, and to agree upon conducting the next Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit in Vladivostok. Afterwards, MUNRFE Executive Director, Ms. Ksenia Shevtsova became a Coordinator and President of Vladivostok MUNRFE Club, Ms. Victoria Yavorskaya - a Vice-Coordinator.
The 9th of October started with the Opening ceremony and the following Plenary session where Dr. Victor Sumsky served a moderator of plenary reports made by the invited guests: H.E. Mr. Alexander Ivanov, Ambassador at Large of the Russian Federation, Mr. Albert Rakipov, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity, Attraction of Private Investments and Export Support of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, Mr. Sergey Nekhaev, Vice-Governor of Primorskiy territory and Mr. Artyom Zolotarev, Director of FEFU Centre of New Technologies of University Internationalization.
From 18th of September till 21st of October the project of Khabarovsk MUNRFE Club “Model UN School 2015” was successfully conducted in the Pacific National University under the leadership of Ms. Alisa Makarova and Ms. Ekaterina Anisimova. Four weeks Master-classes program gathered young and ambitious students from the Pacific National University, Khabarovsk State University of Economics and Law, Far Eastern State Transport University and Gymnasium №5. During this month the participants have obtained a lot of new knowledge indispensable in our life, have learned the basis of some MUNRFE disciplines such as knowledge about international organizations, procedural rules of Model UN conferences and resolution-writing and have practiced their public-speaking skills, teamwork and many more in tons of different activities. Traditionally, all the participants had a chance to experience what Model UN conferences look like during the Mini-conference, conducted in the end of the Model UN School. All the participants have received the certificates of completion of the School, and during the graduation party many of them have shared their willingness to participate further in the activities of the club and to become the delegates of Annual Conference 2015.
MUNRFE is delighted to announce the extension of the Grant Competition deadline to participate in the upcoming MUNRFE Annual Conference 2015, which will be held in Pacific National University, Khabarovsk on 27-30 November, 2015. We are now accepting grant applications until 26 October, 23:59 (UTC +11:00). The results of the careful selection process will be announced no later 31 October on our-web-site. The winners of the Competition will be provided accommodation during the Conference for free and/or have reimbursement of their travel costs.
We remind you that in order to take part in the Grant Competition an applicant should be officially registered as a delegate and assigned a country to represent by the Secretariat. The application includes submission of 2 Policy Papers for the delegates of Third Committee, Security Council, and ECOSOC; and an ISO/PAD for the delegates of World Bank. The documents, which do not follow the official requirements, or which contain plagiarism, or received after the deadline will not be considered.

On September 18 in the Pacific National University the Big Presentation of one of the most important projects of the year for Khabarovsk MUNRFE Club was successfully conducted. The beginning of the Model UN School 2015 gathered more than bright 30 students from various universities over the city. Ms. Elena A. Kiseleva, MUNRFE Counselor, Ms. Anastasia Stasyuk, the President of Khabarovsk MUNRFE Club, Ms. Alisa Makarova and Ms. Ekaterina Anisimova, Coordinators of MUN School 2015, were happy to address the prospective participants in a warmly manner. Traditionally, every autumn MUNRFE gathers perspective and ambitious students, who are willing to implement various youth projects, such as international and regional conferences, summer programs for high school students, and others social activities.
MUNRFE Delegation to Indonesia Model UN (IMUN) had several official meetings in Jakarta prior the Conference. On September 7, Anastasia Stasyuk (RANEPA), Ekaterina Tretyakova (FEFU), Alexandra Gritsenko (FEFU), Ivan Kumets (FEFU), and Victoria Yavorskaya (FEFU) as an adviser, met Dr. Victor V. Sumsky, Director of the ASEAN Centre in MGIMO University, who shared his enormous experience and knowledge about Russia – ASEAN dialogue partnership, in light of the upcoming Third Russia-ASEAN Youth Summit, which is going to be conducted in Far Eastern Federal University (Vladivostok, Russia) in October. Moreover, that day MUNRFE delegation was welcomed by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Mr. Mikhail Y. Galuzin in the Russian Embassy. It was the first time in MUNRFE history, when our delegation was honored to meet a Russian Ambassador personally. On September, 8, Dr. Sumsky kindly accompanied MUNRFE delegation to the main building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Indonesia, where all students got engaged in a discussion devoted to ASEAN issues with Indonesian diplomats. During the IMUN itself all MUNRFE delegates attended the diplomatic dinner, where they got an opportunity to talk to ambassadors and diplomats from Indonesia, India, Finland, Australia, Nigeria, Turkey, and even Ambassador Galuzin one more time. Also, MUNRFE delegation met Mr. Vlastimil Samek, Acting Director of the UN Information Centre in Jakarta, who expressed his greatest interest in MUNRFE activities.
