MUNRFE invites to celebrate the UN75 Anniversary
Model United Nations of the Russian Far East is delighted to announce the “UN75 – On the way to sustainable development” project to be held on 22-24 October 2020 online. The official language of the project is Russian.
The project program includes three events. The application process for participation in the all-Russia student essay contest is currently available on http://un75.tilda.ws/. Contestants are invited to share their ideas about the role of the UN in the modern world, as well as to speculate on the topic of achieving the SDGs by the international community. The winners of the contest will be awarded the opportunity to participate in the MUNRFE Annual Conference 2020, which will be held from 3 to 7 December online (http://www.munrfe.ru/ac2020). The documents submission is open until October 9 (23: 59, GMT+10).
MUNRFE members were granted scholarship for high achievements
Fifteen members of MUNRFE became recipients of the Increased scholarship for achievements in social activities along with nine members selected for the Scholarship of the Governor of Primorsky territory in the autumn semester of 2020.
MUNRFE elected the new Presidential Team
On October 8, MUNRFE Vladivostok Club conducted the Presidential Elections. As a result, Ms. Polina Dolgopolova was elected as the new President of the Club till the spring semester of 2021. Consequently, Ms. Dolgopolova appointed Ms. Tatiana Akuneeva as the Vice-President. . After the leadership changed, the Cabinet was elected with the following composition: Mr. Danil Vinokurov – Manager for Accountability, Ms. Olga Lyapina – Manager for Public Information, Ms. Maria Pankova – Cabinet Member, Ms. Alina Ozimok – Cabinet Member
MUNRFE Vladivostok Club successfully conducted the UN for schools 2020
On October 1-2, the MUNRFE Vladivostok Club conducted its traditional educational project “The UN for schools 2020”. The project was held at the Secondary school №57 with intensive study of the English language in an offline format. An overall number of participants was 53 people consisting of 9 and 10-grades students.
MUNRFE 20th Anniversary
On October 1, MUNRFE celebrated a significant milestone for the Organization - the 20th Anniversary.
20 years ago, the history of our Organization began on the premises of Khabarovsk State Academy of Economics and Law, when Dr. Jeffrey Lindstrom and eight single-minded students founded a small debate club. Soon it was transformed into a regional non-governmental youth-led organization that today is known as the Model United Nations of the Russian Far East.
MUNRFE Autumn Master Classes 2020 will be conducted at FEFU
MUNRFE will conduct the Autumn Master Classes 2020 at Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) from September 25 to November 1. The official language of the event is English.
During the month, participants in the MUNRFE Autumn Master Classes will have a chance to attend a course of interactive lectures and training aimed at increasing the level of English proficiency, developing leadership skills, public speaking and negotiating skills, as well as smart management of their own time and effective goal-setting. In addition, future young leaders will immerse themselves in the world of international relations through studying one of the most significant organizations in human history - the United Nations (UN).
