MUNRFE Autumn Master-Classes 2020 have been successfully conducted


The traditional educational project MUNRFE Autumn Master-Classes 2020 was successfully conducted in Vladivostok and Blagoveshchensk in the online format. MUNRFE Vladivostok Club conducted Autumn Master Classes 2020 “Climbing Up to Success” from September 25 to November 1 on the premises of Far Eastern Federal University. Also, Blagoveshchensk MUNRFE Master Classes 2020 was implemented from September 23 to October 4 in Amur State University. For one month, participants developed personal and professional qualities, including leadership skills, public speaking, negotiating skills, and immersed in the world of international relations.

MUNRFE Executive Director at UNHCR Russia


On November 2, MUNRFE Executive Director Mr. Aleksei Stanonis visited the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Representation in Moscow. In the frames of the meeting, Mr. Vanno Noupech, the UNHCR Representative in the Russian Federation, and Mr. Stanonis underlined the importance of awareness-raising on the issue of refugees and the necessity of education in this particular sphere. Moreover, the meeting was marked by the negotiation on the future steps within the joint cooperation in the period of 2020-2021.

MUNRFE participates in the All-Russian competition "Leaders of International Cooperation"


In July 2020, Rosmolodezh launched the All-Russian competition "Leaders of International Cooperation". The event is aimed at identifying and supporting active young citizens of Russia possessing their own initiatives in the implementation of international projects and programs at the regional and federal levels. According to the results of the first stage of the competition which consists of filling out an application with a description of experience in the development of international cooperation and proposing a project that would be the best way to activate international humanitarian organizations, 50 people were selected as the finalists, including the MUNRFE Executive Director Aleksei Stanonis.

MUNRFE at the lecture of Russky Technopark on technological entrepreneurship for the Amity University


On October 27, MUNRFE took part in a lecture organized by the Russky Technopark for students of Amity University, a leading research institution in the Republic of India. The lecture was attended by over 150 Indian students interested in the topic of technology entrepreneurship.

Taking part as a panelist of the event, the MUNRFE Executive Director Mr. Aleksei Stanonis as the Youth Envoy of the Sustainable Development Goal 9 "Industrial innovation and infrastructure" in Russia delivered a lecture titled “Technological Entrepreneurship: From Steam to Digits”. In frames of the lecture, Mr. Stanonis spoke about the four industrial revolutions, the differences between digitalization and digital transformation, and the competencies that technology entrepreneurs need to develop.

MUNRFE successfully conducted the celebration of the UN 75th Anniversary

From September 11 to October 24, 2020, MUNRFE conducted the online project “UN 75: On the way to Sustainable Development” devoted to the UN 75th Anniversary. The project gathered students from Vladivostok, Blagoveshchensk, Bratsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Saint-Petersburg, and Tomsk.

The project program included three events, in particular, the essay contest, the photo exhibition, and the series of online lectures. First of all, students had an opportunity to take part in the all-Russia student essay contest which was held on September 11 – October 15, 2020. Contestants shared their ideas about the role of the UN in the modern world and the progress on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implementation by the international community.
